NURS 5213 - Advanced Nursing Leadership in Practice: Practicum III

Students implement their accepted project as designed in Practicum II. This precepted practicum course continues a focus on achieving competencies as an MSN prepared nurse leader. Students complete 128 practicum hours engaging in nursing leadership practice experiences to demonstrate competencies in specified segments of the leadership standards detailed by the American Nurses Association Nursing Leadership Scope and Standards of Practice (2024) and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Advanced-Level Essentials (2021). All course requirements are online. Practicum experiences occur over 16 weeks per semester, resulting in approximately 8 hours a week. Students continue their leadership growth plan established in Practicum I while implementing their QI project.
