NURS 5541 - Primary Care II

This course is a didactic and clinical course that builds upon the study of advanced practice nursing (APRN) concepts and skills derived in Primary Care I (NURS 5440). APRN students will integrate theoretical and evidence-based knowledge of assessment, diagnosis, management, and evaluation of patients with acute and chronic health problems across the lifespan. The course focuses on APRN role development and synthesis of data from a variety of sources to make clinical decisions regarding appropriate management, consultation, or referral necessary for the provision of safe and effective care.
